Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem)

Position Overview

Seeking Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our Tacoma WA Area NICU. The role includes 24‑hour in‑house shifts at Level II and III NICUs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide neonatal nursing care on 24‑hour in‑house shifts.
  • Serve on Level II and III NICUs, partnering for ongoing per‑diem coverage.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies.
Qualifications
  • Current APRN National Specialty Certification.
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree.
  • Experience as an NNP in hospital NICU Level II and III settings.
  • Active Washington License in Good Standing.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Pay: $65 – $87/hr based on years of experience.

  • Paid Sick Leave:
    Eligible for Washington Paid Sick and Safe Leave (PSSL) under Initiative 1433. Accrues one hour of sick time per 30 hours worked, beginning at hire, with no cap on accrual and a carryover limit of 108 hours. Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days of employment; unused leave is not paid upon termination.
