Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

Our Clinic Infectious Disease Clinic is located in Tacoma, Washington. This is a full‑time position with no weekend or holiday work required.

Every day you will manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on‑site and actively collaborating with the clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow.

• Prepare patients for practitioner visits; room patients, obtain and record vital signs and other information (height, weight, drug allergies, medications, presenting problem); chaperone and document examinations, ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Collect patient information via telephone and in‑person contact; screen, communicate, and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Provide patient mobility assistance as needed.
• Manage patient flow, ensuring adequate time for patient and family education.
• Perform or assist with patient care, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures appropriate to training, licensure, and established procedures; follow triage standing orders/protocols for routine nursing situations and refer complex, urgent, or emergent situations to an RN or provider.
• Instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensure that patients or families understand follow‑up and referral information.

• Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse:
  Washington, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

• One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting.
• Two years of acute care LPN work experience.

Sign on bonus available for qualifying new external Clinic LPNs.

$28.55 - $48.43 per hour.
