The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with an interdisciplinary team to provide high‑quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. The role focuses on delivering patient‑centered care while fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and ownership in clinical decision‑making.
Responsibilities- Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem‑solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for patients.
- Performs patient triage in person, via telephone, and secure messages, following protocols, guidelines, and standards.
- Utilizes assessment and analysis skills to deliver medical regimens as directed by physicians, advanced practice providers, and registered nurses.
- Delegates selected patient care functions to others based on their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Collaborates with the clinic team to improve overall quality of care, patient experience, and stewardship.
- Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
- Advocates for ethical and holistic care, promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State or a multistate license endorsement (MLS).
- Current basic life support certification (BLS).
- Two years of experience as an LPN in an ambulatory (clinic) setting preferred.
We provide a comprehensive benefits package—including competitive salary ($30.10–$43.75 USD), medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. Pay is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will follow the applicable step on the pay scale based on your years of experience.
