Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer patient care treatment regimens, research components, and program outreach for patients diagnosed with cancer.
- Assist patients and their families in navigating the wide array of services and programs offered by the hospital and the community to meet their health and wellness needs.
- Provide personalized clinical and high‑touch care, advocating for the integration of whole‑person health, of body, mind, and spirit.
- Tailor services to the unique wellness needs of the patients served.
- Participate in health screenings, provide patient education, and offer appropriate referrals.
- Deliver direct patient clinical care and cultivate relationships with patients, families, physician partners, the healthcare team, and community partners.
- Administer and manage treatment regimens and collect data related to contacts and referrals as outlined by the department manager.
- Consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the PSJH core values and the hospital mission statement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- California Registered Nurse license.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS), Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), or NCBC – Breast Patient Navigator Certification; completion of one of these certifications within one year of hire is required.
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a health‑care setting.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in oncology nursing.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- 20,000 Sign‑On Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates meeting all conditions for payment.
