As a Registered Nurse at our cardiology outpatient clinic, you will assess and educate patients on cardiac health under physician guidance. Your responsibilities include telephone triage, emergency assistance, individualized patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. This role blends clinical excellence with compassionate patient interaction in a dynamic work environment.

• Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs, prioritize calls by urgency, and respond to emergent, urgent, and non-urgent inquiries.
• Develop and deliver individualized patient education programs focused on diagnosis, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and high standards of care.
• Serve as a cardiac health resource and educator for office staff and the broader community.
• Monitor and manage abnormal test results, facilitate referrals and follow-ups, and document all patient interactions and care.

This role is full-time, Monday – Friday; weekends and holidays are closed.

Must-Haves

• Educational Background
  :
  Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensing
  :
  Active Washington Registered Nurse license at the time of hire.
• Certification
  :
  National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, obtained before starting.
• Experience
  :
  Ideally at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Nice-to-Haves (you will be considered even if you do not have these):

• Specialized Experience
  : 1 year in cardiology, PCU, ICU, or ER/ED.
• Additional Experience
  : 2 years of RN experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.

The pay scale for this position is: $39.00 - $60.03 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, experience, and certifications/education.
