Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for School-Based Role

A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed for a 1:1 position, working directly with a student and providing consistent, compassionate medical support throughout the school day. This contract opportunity is a full-time assignment (6.5 hours per day, onsite only), spanning from September 9, 2026, to June 16, 2027.

You'll be an essential part of the student's educational journey, ensuring they can thrive in a safe, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid Washington State LPN license (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Fingerprinting clearance through OSPI, or willingness to complete the process
• Previous LPN/LVN experience, ideally in a pediatric, school, or related setting
• Excellent communication skills, organization, and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to develop rapport and work one-on-one with students
• Commitment to privacy, professionalism, and reliability

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany and supervise assigned student throughout their school day, from arrival to dismissal
• Carry out routine and emergency nursing care according to student's health plan
• Administer medications, monitor symptoms, and communicate with caregivers and staff as needed
• Maintain accurate healthcare documentation and adhere to health protocols
• Act as a supportive resource for the student, advocating for their needs in the school setting

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.43 to $47.43. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
