Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Tacoma, Washington, 98405!

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (12-Hour Nights)

Tacoma, WA | Acute Care

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | 48 hours per week | 12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every-other-weekend rotation

• Manage and deliver care for high-acuity OB patients including hypertension, magnesium administration, preterm labor, C-sections, inductions, vaginal deliveries, PROM, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Triage OB patients and circulate in the OR as needed
• Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips; perform cervical checks
• Provide transition care for birthing patients and newborns following vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including full recovery of the birthing patient
• Float to antepartum (within L&D) and postpartum units occasionally, based on need and within scope of experience
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 5+ years preferred; prior travel experience considered in lieu of additional years

• Experience with high-risk OB patient populations including antepartum, insulin drips, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Familiarity with Alaris Care Fusion IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Centricity/Qx fetal surveillance, and CAD Solaris epidural pumps
• Experience working in a high-volume L&D environment (up to 300 deliveries per month)
• Comfort with AWHONN patient ratio guidelines in active, non-active, and antepartum settings

• Work within a well-supported unit featuring 24/7 laborist coverage, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, scrub techs, CNA support, and scheduled break nurses each shift
• Join a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center L&D unit with a robust antepartum program and a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team
