American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Department position requiring triage and trauma experience along with specialty pediatric ED certifications.
Requirements- Active WA or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI or MOAB
- Minimum 1.5 years of Pediatric ED experience
- At least 6 months of triage and trauma experience required
- Experience providing general pediatric ED care including mental health cases required
- Work in the Pediatric Emergency Department of a children's hospital
- 35-bed unit including 21 ER beds and additional fast track/surgical suite beds on the 3rd floor
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 for standard acuity and 1:6 for lower acuity patients
- Tech to patient ratio of 1:8 with 24/7 support staff coverage
- 12-hour rotating shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provide emergency care to a general pediatric patient population including mental health and trauma cases
- Perform triage duties as part of daily responsibilities
