Orthopedics Staff Nurse - FTE Tacoma WA

The Orthopedics Staff Nurse provides nursing care to a defined group of patients, coordinating and facilitating health care services in collaboration with the health care team. This role is ideal for nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care in an orthopedic setting.

• Pay: $44 - $81/hour
• Location: Tacoma, WA
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Schedule: Full Time, 0.9 FTE (M-F with either Tuesday or Wednesday as a possible regular day off)

• Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs using the nursing process.
• Develop written plans of care for patient needs and assist in setting health care goals.
• Provide nursing interventions safely and competently, including telephone consultations.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for specific age populations.
• Initiate nursing admission database and discharge planning in collaboration with inpatient staff.
• Communicate patients' psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs during interactions.
• Develop educational components for nursing care plans and provide teaching/counseling.
• Integrate health promotion and preventive care into ongoing assessments.
• Adhere to documentation, safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in continued education programs and nursing research.
