Registered Nurse – NICU

Tacoma, WA | NICU

Contract | Nights | Onsite

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 24 weeks gestation and above, with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3–4 depending on acuity
• Administer and monitor IV drips including insulin and dopamine
• Operate and monitor ventilators (Dräger 500) and Phillips cardiac monitors
• Collaborate with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Float to the Postpartum unit as needed
• Charge Nurse opportunities available on night shift for qualified candidates

• Active RN license
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year

• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Experience caring for micro-preemie and high-acuity neonatal patients
• Charge Nurse experience in a NICU environment
• Familiarity with NICU PICC line procedures and care

• Work within a well-supported NICU environment featuring 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage, on-site advanced practice provider support, and access to a dedicated NICU PICC team
• Schedules are organized in 6-week blocks posted two weeks in advance, offering predictability throughout your assignment with potential for extension
