Description:
Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility within the past year.
Travelers will be required to float throughout the region if needed.
Unit includes 8-16 beds or trauma bays.
ER nurses manage their own ER security is available.
Average patient load is 8-16 per day with a nurse to patient ratio of 4:1.Required skills include experience in Med/Surg Telemetry.
Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are present on the unit.
Support staff includes Nurse Aids, Paramedics, and Patient Sitters.
RNs will monitor their own telemetry.
Transport within the unit is managed by house transporters.
Lab draws are performed by nursing staff.
Shifts are scheduled from 1900 to 0730 with every other weekend required.
There is a call or standby requirement.
Floating requirements include similar floors.
Scrub color/dress code is navy blue.
These are boarding patients waiting for a room in the hospital.
Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Charting system utilized is Epic.
A BSN is not required for this position.
