Laboratory Technician ; Temporary M-F - Eurofins Environment Testing Northwes

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing Northwest is searching for a Laboratory Technician I in Tacoma, WA.

• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Prepare samples using various methods such as aliquot, spike and trace, reagent preparation, bottling, concentration preparation, separation, sonication, and liquid rack set‑up.
• Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper sample labeling.
• Prepare general laboratory paperwork, including recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Wash laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stock laboratory supplies.
• Clean work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist other laboratory areas as needed.

• General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and multi‑task.
• Work independently.
• Work within time constraints.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

• High school diploma required.
• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be available for overtime and weekends when required.
• High school chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English required.

• Full‑time temporary (90 days) position, Monday to Friday 3 pm to 11 pm with possibility of overtime & weekends.
• Compensation: $19–22 per hour.
