The Country Store is the retail division of Skagit Farmers Supply, a diversified local agricultural supply cooperative. The company was founded in Burlington, WA in 1934. We have grown and developed into four business divisions: agronomy, retail, energy, and wholesale distribution & milling. • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and offering product recommendations.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for customers’ needs.
• Answer customers questions about merchandise and assist customers with purchase decisions.
• Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
• Complete sales transactions and process returns accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor all merchandise for correct location assignments, accurate and clean bin labels, expired products, and stock rotation.
• Assist with loading/unloading products for customers.
• Restock shelves and warehouse inventory; assemble displays and merchandise as needed.
• Meet with store manager monthly to discuss department goals and expectations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Product knowledge in pet food, health and other related supplies.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails.

• Experience working in a retail setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Epicor or similar retail point of sale software.
• Experience using radio frequency (RF) scanning technology and equipment.
• Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies.

• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed

• $17.50 – $21.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
