Summary
The Team Leader has the responsibility for all store activities in the absence of salaried store management. A Team Leader must exemplify the company’s culture through the execution of the Mission and Values, demonstrate aggressive customer service at all times, effectively lead all store associates, and is responsible for total store operations when salaried management is absent. They must develop expertise in company culture, merchandising, shrink control, and operational aspects of the store, continuously focus on career development toward senior management, and stay knowledgeable of local market dynamics.
A Team Leader is a role model, leader, and problem‑solver who manages time to achieve budgeted store goals and instills CNRG’s Mission and Values in all associates.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Exemplify and ensure CNRG’s Mission and Values remain foremost in daily business, keeping all associates informed of store and company expectations and news.
- Set and enforce aggressive customer service standards, exceeding customer expectations.
- Supervise other associates as assigned.
- Maintain high enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, motivating others to do the same.
- Provide appropriate solutions to customer questions.
- Stay up to date on all current programs and company procedures, communicating them to all team players.
- Coordinate merchandise orders to match sales trends and customer demand.
- Complete cycle counts in a timely manner and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Demonstrate leadership and adhere to CNRG’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Train all new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
- Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas, including stocking product.
- Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping.
- Collaborate with other associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals.
- Clean the store and exterior areas of the facility.
- Identify and correct safety problems or hazards.
- Complete price shops and price changes promptly.
- Be certified in all relevant areas, including inside and outside forklift operation, DOT, gate, receiving, and service desk procedures.
- Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor.
Team Leaders must demonstrate leadership, problem‑solving, and effective communication skills, manage with limited supervision, and exhibit aggressive customer service. They should possess strong managerial and organizational abilities, interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form, and use it to assess and coordinate merchandise and operations. They must handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, perform physical duties such as climbing ladders, bending, twisting, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.,
and stocking items in overhead areas, and work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Pay range: $23.00 - $30.39 per hour
