As a US Pawn employee, you will play a key role in assisting customers with pawn transactions, buying and selling various items, and ensuring efficient operations within the store. Your primary responsibilities include assessing the value of items, negotiating prices, maintaining accurate records, and providing world‑class customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

• Customer service: greet customers, provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere, assist with inquiries, appraisals, and negotiations, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address customer concerns.
• Item appraisal and valuation: evaluate items for authenticity, condition, and value, negotiate prices based on market value, condition, and demand, and keep up to date with current market trends.
• Pawn transactions and loans: explain terms and conditions of pawn transactions, including loan amounts, interest rates, and redemption periods, complete necessary paperwork, maintain accurate records, determine loan amounts, collect payments, extend or renew loans, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Item display and sales: organize, clean, and display merchandise attractively and orderly, assist customers in finding specific items, negotiate prices, process sales transactions accurately, and maintain awareness of inventory levels.
• Security and compliance: adhere to security measures to prevent theft, maintain a safe working environment, follow legal and company policies regarding pawn transactions and loan regulations, and collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in a pawn shop, retail, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of various item categories including jewelry, tools, electronics, and musical instruments.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Basic math skills to calculate loan amounts, interest rates, and sales prices accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing pawn transactions and lending practices.
• Bi‑lingual skills are a plus.
• Background knowledge in e‑commerce is also a plus.
• Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
