Essential Functions

  • Discover customers’ needs and offer solutions through the company’s services or products
  • Become an expert in our product offerings and serve as a go-to source for clients seeking more information concerning our products
  • Responsible for meeting sales objectives
  • Maintain a strong relationship within the assigned territory through active engagement in the store and assigned region
  • Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary
  • Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
  • Build client relationships by asking qualifying questions to fully understand and assess client needs
  • Overcome client objections by understanding client motivations and desired project outcomes
  • Capture accurate measurements, confirm client product selections, review next steps, and gain a scheduled commitment (i.e., confirmed date and time) for follow‑up
  • Follow up with clients who have not made a buying decision when the company runs promotions
  • Call clients 24 hours in advance to confirm appointments
  • Prepare for all upcoming appointments by coordinating calls, products, and activities
  • Work with general contractors and/or installers to quote, sell, and produce accurate jobs
  • Keep the appointment calendar active and updated so that associates may schedule appointments for them
  • Provide detailed and comprehensive updates to Services Territory Sales Manager during one‑on‑one meetings
  • Deliver paperwork to the store and project information to the appropriate store to ensure projects are produced accurately and on a timely basis
  • Maintain project folders and ensure all paperwork (e.g., contracts, pricing worksheets, and proposal documentation) is filled out according to policy
  • Maintain all collateral, samples, forms and paperwork and ensure all samples are clean, workable and prepared for client demonstration
  • Takes all necessary safety precautions when visiting customers in their home
  • Although majority of time is spent outside the store, this individual must adhere to all safety requirements when inside the store and is held to the same safety measures as other associates
Minimum Requirements
  • High School or GED and 1–2 years of residential construction experience (e.g., home building or renovations) OR face‑to‑face sales experience (alternative to experience as a Lowe’s Sales Specialist)
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to pass an MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
  • If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position
Preferences
  • 1–2 years of experience using Lowe’s or other similar selling CRM systems (e.g., M2O)
  • 1–2 years of in‑home or commission‑based sales experience
  • Licensure or certification as a Construction Supervisor
Competitive Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary:
Total compensation opportunity for top performers of $150,000 and above (consisting of a base annual salary of $40,000 plus commission). Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
