Equipment Sales Specialist – Anchorage, AK or Western WA (Seattle/Tacoma)

We are looking for an Equipment Sales Specialist based in either Anchorage, AK or Western WA (Seattle/Tacoma). This role will be a 50/50 split between territories.

What you’ll be doing

As an Equipment Specialist, you bring value to Burkhart clients by providing expert insight and advice on dental equipment, technology and service in a way that supports both the client and Burkhart’s success. You will drive the sales cycle and equipment sales volume by working closely with your Account Managers and Service Technicians to nurture current client relationships, develop new clients and see each client through the sales process from lead to successfully installed equipment.

Your integrity, dedication to client success, and teamwork skills – in addition to your sales skills and knowledge of dental equipment – are key to success in this role. This is an outside sales position that may require significant travel depending on the assigned territory. This role is expected to support two markets with an approximate 50/50 allocation of time.

The base location for this position will be either Seattle/Tacoma or Anchorage.

Success Metrics
  • CO-TRAVEL: You co-travel when available and when applicable with Sales Account Managers, Equipment Specialists, Service Technicians, manufacturer partners, and regional leadership.
  • EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT

    EXPERIENCE:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Your projects are highly organized, timely, and managed in a way that creates an exceptional experience for clients & Burkhart associates. Stakeholders receive consistent, quality updates, know when milestones are reached (or are at risk of delay) and can make business decisions based on data you provide.
  • SALES GOALS: You consistently meet volume, growth and margins for assigned product lines at or above company specified targets.
  • FULL-SERVICE UTILIZATION: Your clients utilize Burkhart for all three facets of business;
    Equipment, Merchandise, & Service.
  • TECHNICAL

    SKILLS:

    Maintains current understanding of technical processes/equipment, uses technology to increase performance/productivity. You stay informed of new technology or other innovations, test your skills regularly and strive to learn new technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field is required. Significant additional experience in Dental Equipment Sales that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential responsibilities may substitute for a degree.
  • 4 years of successful outside sales experience in a medical or technical sales field.
  • Demonstrated success closing large equipment sales.
  • Ability to travel by car and airplane to client offices, meetings, trainings, and events on a frequent basis. Out of town travel of up to 50% may be required depending on territory.
  • The associate must maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain a good driving record (as defined by Burkhart’s liability insurance), and be insurable at all times.
Additional Skills
  • Dental sales experience.
  • Outside sales experience in a medical or technical sales field.
Salary
  • The base salary is between $70,000 - $100,000 plus 25% commission.
