The Sales Manager at La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries in Tacoma, WA leads a high‑performing sales team, executes personnel and store sales initiatives, and drives revenue growth while upholding the company’s ethos of prioritizing people, optimizing processes, delivering exceptional products, and reinforcing core values.

• Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
• Promote the in‑home design program and champion the selling process on the sales floor.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to improve sales techniques, strategies, and overall performance.
• Ensure staff deliver exceptional customer service and build long‑term relationships.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to meet sales targets and foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain the store’s brand image, values, and customer experience standards through layout, product presentation, and employee interactions.
• Support company‑wide marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Resolve customer concerns and support sales promotion events.
• Uphold operational excellence and brand visual standards.
• Execute administrative procedures and support systems.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail sales experience with a business unit focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and financial understanding.
• Strong interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work the required schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: experience managing in a retail environment, strong business acumen, and advanced interpersonal skills.

Training Pay: $20 per hour for 2–6 weeks (no commission).

Base Salary: $26,000 per year.

Commission & Bonus:
Uncapped commissions on written sales (1–6% based on achievement vs. goal) and a monthly bonus opportunity up to $1,500 based on store sales goals.
