As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with a calm, service-focused approach.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to site staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.

+ Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documenting observations, and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public services as needed.

+ Complete accurate reports such as daily activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts per post orders.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 1+ years of security-related experience.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
