PositionDetails / Responsibilities
- HVAC Installers are responsible for installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and/or refrigeration, and other equipment following manufacturer specifications and company requirements.
- Perform installation of copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering and knowledge of press systems.
- Perform installation of flex, ductboard, and/or sheet metal duct systems in light commercial and multifamily buildings.
- Inspect HVAC systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Support superintendent and foreman to ensure jobsite safety and security.
- Minimum of three years as an installer.
- Possession of High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; EPA certification a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of the IMC, SMACNA guidelines, local codes, and construction safety requirements.
