The company serves customers with over 50 nationwide service centers that offer accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair, supported by a 24/7 in‑house call‑center.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow‑up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • Perform minor adjustment and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems and transmissions.
  • Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (electrical, brake, cooling, AC, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials).
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
  • Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and determine the most accurate and relevant solutions.
  • Independently manage parts inventory and reconcile company‑issued service truck tools.
  • Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
  • Work with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve issues, and satisfy expectations.
  • Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work activities and time allocations.
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.
  • Document work per company standards, upload pictures, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders (RO) using an iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work independently and manage own daily schedule.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, achieving standard repair times where possible.
  • Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary.
  • Communicate with management and support via email or phone for repair estimates, purchase order numbers, and RO findings.
  • Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education or 5 years of experience).
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for required duties.
  • Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • Complete DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • Provide a current and valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining (or a DOT physical if less than 4 months).
  • Be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • Safe driving record required.
