Irrigation Technician

SS Landscaping Services, Inc. is looking for an Irrigation Technician to join our Service Group.

• Perform irrigation start‑ups and winterizations and associated maintenance for interior points of control (POC) such as mechanical rooms, as well as exterior areas.
• Diagnose functional issues with drip irrigation, spray systems, two‑wire and conventional wired systems and associated components (mainlines, laterals, double‑check assemblies, all irrigation timers).
• Handle all phases and components of irrigation installation.
• Solve small sprinkler problems (wire valves, fix leaks, mend broken heads) to make systems work properly; ensure activities are carried out professionally, safely and efficiently.
• Contact account representatives to resolve problems, answer questions and provide site status as appropriate.
• Maintain security, operator maintenance and proper use of all assigned equipment (truck and tools).
• Demonstrate leadership at all times.

• Able to review, comprehend and apply plans and specifications for each project.
• Proficient reading and writing in English.
• Clear verbal communication with necessary personnel.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.
• High school education or GED, minimum.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in the landscape and irrigation industry.
• Physically capable of performing landscape construction labor.
• Able to tolerate job‑related materials and severe weather conditions.
