We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team, specializing in MIG steel welding with opportunities to work with TIG and MIG on aluminum. This position involves light fabrication, grinding, and using saws to cut pieces.

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum materials.
• Engage in light fabrication tasks, including grinding and cutting.
• Interpret welding symbols, diagrams, and read blueprints to ensure precision in welding products or parts.
• Utilize various welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders effectively.
• Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Collaborate with team members in a cooperative environment.
• Adapt to changes and actively participate in reaching common goals.

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Understanding of welding symbols and diagrams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and printed instructional material.
• Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment and procedures.

• Experience with stainless steel welding.
• Knowledge of fabrication and grinding processes.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Work within a full-service manufacturing environment specializing in custom Metal Stamping, Metal Forming, Fabrication, and Machining through to Final Assembly. The company is involved in building interior door units for Navy ships. Working hours are 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a requirement to wear steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
