Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand, digital, and power tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by following Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Holder of a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
