Salary Range: $20.50 To $38.50 Hourly
Marine Technician - Puget SoundWe are based in Tacoma, WA and operate across 11 locations, primarily around the Seattle area. Our culture is built around a love of water and boating, creating memorable experiences for our members.
This position will be a full-time role from 8:00am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.
Position SummaryThe Field/Shop Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of over 170 boats throughout the year. In the summer, you will travel across our 11 locations, performing repair, maintenance, and upkeep to keep our boats at the highest quality. During the winter, you will work from our local repair shop refurbishing boats. Your duties will range from gelcoat and fiberglass work to basic and full services, as well as diagnostics and repair on all boats and engines.
Requirements- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
- Mercury or Yamaha certification is a major plus
- Knowledgeable in outboard motors or basic boat systems
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Physical ability to board and de‑board boats safely
- Physical ability to kneel/bend to clean interior compartments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to learn towing and launching boats on trailers
- Access to a personal mobile device for company communication apps (Slack, ADP, etc.)
- Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
- Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service are required
- Self‑starter able to work without direct supervision
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience (preferred)
