Summary: This position reports to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor to repair and maintain machinery, facility, and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, small-engine vehicles, forklifts, and machine shop equipment.

Essential Functions: (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on facility infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, trailers, cranes, and machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform scheduled lubrication, oil and filter changes, and other basic maintenance services on mobile and stationary equipment.
  • Assist with general building maintenance and repairs, including doors, locks, windows, hardware, lighting, and other facility components.
  • Maintain and repair skiffs, marine support equipment, piers, docks, shore power systems, and related waterfront infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on basic electrical systems, including replacing fixtures, bulbs, outlets, switches, and conducting basic troubleshooting.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection and life safety systems, including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and exit signage; complete required monthly inspections.
  • Inspect, test, adjust, and install equipment components and replacement parts to meet operational requirements under supervision.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and metalworking equipment, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, and milling machines, to fabricate, repair, and maintain equipment and facility assets.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, maintenance records, and work orders in accordance with company requirements.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate range from $28.00 - $33.00

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications: (Education, Years of Experience, Certifications)

  • 2 years of relevant marine, industrial, manufacturing, or facility operations maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Forklift certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Education & Experiences:

  • 4 years of relevant marine, industrial, manufacturing, or facility operations maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Vocational training or certifications in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building maintenance, or related technical fields
  • Experience in basic welding, fabrication, or using machine shop equipment
