Step into a rewarding opportunity working onsite in the lively Tacoma area, supporting the communication success of K-12 students for the  academic year! This contract role runs from September 1, 2026, through June 23, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You'll collaborate with dedicated teams in school settings to make a positive difference each day.

Qualifications
  • Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Current or eligible for CCC credential
  • Experience providing speech and language services in a K-12 school environment
  • Must be fingerprinted through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction)
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, Washington ESA (Education Staff Associate) certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students on your caseload
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress
  • Consult with teachers and support staff to implement effective interventions
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to student success strategies
  • Engage in ongoing professional development as required
