Senior Software Engineer – Universal Asset InsightsLocation:
Tacoma, WA. Reports to the Senior Director of Engineering. You will work on Infoblox Universal Asset Insights, which automates the discovery and analysis of IP‑based and non‑IP‑based assets across public clouds, on‑premises networks, IoT/OT devices, and third‑party applications. Integrated with core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IPAM, it enhances network visibility and accuracy.
- Design and develop cloud‑hosted data ingestion, transformation, and normalization pipelines built to scale.
- Build an extensible low‑code/no‑code framework that lets customers and partners add new asset sources.
- Lead cross‑functional and global engineering teams to build reusable software components as a platform.
- Drive productivity and innovation through the adoption of Agentic/AI platforms in the SDLC: design, development, QA, automation, deployment, observability, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Drive product innovation by integrating Agentic infrastructure into core capabilities, including building and productizing MCP servers, agents, sub‑agents, and skills.
- Provide technical leadership to steer product architecture and software design, ensuring a scalable, extensible, and reliable system.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing on roadmap, documentation, and collateral.
- Stay current on trends in asset insights, no‑code/low‑code remediation, data transformation, ETL, and agentic AI.
- 8+ years of experience in software development with Golang/Go, Java, C++, or C, leveraging containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and streaming (Kafka).
- 8+ years building large‑scale SaaS‑based network management, ETL, asset management, and data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, persistence, projection, API, and presentation layers.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, APIs, system architecture, and design.
- Experience with relational, time‑series, No
SQL, and graph databases. - Hands‑on expertise applying agentic and AI‑driven frameworks to improve engineering productivity, performance, and reliability (agents, sub‑agents, MCP servers, skills).
- Performance engineering experience in large‑scale pipelines and active incident resolution.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as switching, routing, security, and preferably DNS, DHCP, IPAM, CTEM, CAASM, and ITSM.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional work across time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering (required). Master’s degree preferred.
First 90 Days: Immerse in culture, connect with mentors, map systems, and meet stakeholders. Set short and long‑term goals.
Six Months: Gain deep understanding of the Asset Insights product, design features, contribute to code and design reviews, and enhance productivity.
One Year: Lead major features, contribute to architecture and design improvements, and collaborate with Product Management on R&D opportunities.
