Join our team of lifeguards and swim instructors to maintain the health and safety of all participants, and provide high-quality programming, while building relationships with members and program participants. We are seeking candidates interested in life guarding, swim instructing, and/or taking on a combination of both roles. This part-time hourly position is available at our Houser branch in Onalaska, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Actively scan the pool deck and maintain a safe and welcoming pool environment
• Enforce all YMCA pool rules
• Respond to all pool emergencies and perform first-aid while on duty
• Teach swimming lessons to YMCA standards
• Communicate with supervisors, staff, members, and guests in a concise and positive manner

• Flexible hours –part-time positions in either branch

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Lifeguard Certification (for lifeguards only)
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification (for lifeguards only)
• Must enjoy working around children and adults of all ages
