Job Requisition JR23951 – Full‑time Seasonal Shift – Worker
POSITION PURPOSEThis role focuses on delivering ice to customers in articulated tractor‑trailer vehicles that require a CDL ClassA license. Drivers may be assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and equipment used may change as business needs dictate. Drivers are expected to physically unload, deliver, fill, and rotate ice at customer locations while demonstrating our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, clear communication, and use of facts;
they must also act as servant leaders and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
Leaders and collaborators will apply lean principles and tools such as value‑stream mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and A3 to facilitate continuous process improvements and create value for customers, employees, and shareholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate and maintain a clean company truck in a safe and professional manner.
- Unload, deliver, and rotate ice at customer and other designated locations using a safe, courteous, and service‑oriented approach.
- Perform pre‑/post‑trip inspections, comply with state/federal hours of service requirements, and operate the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Participate daily in the Daily Visual Management (DVM) process and review DVM results with other drivers.
- Produce invoices for each delivery and complete all required paperwork.
- Maintain the safe operation, working condition, and inventory of all driver tools—including handhelds, printers, handcarts, and hand trucks.
- Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
- Pick up equipment as directed and perform other operational duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and processes.
- Adhere to the code of business ethics, valuing honesty and integrity above all else.
- Maintain high safety standards; safety is a personal responsibility.
- Deliver 16 pallets each day.
- Seven‑pound bags per pallet – 300 bags per day (~2,100 bags per 5‑day week).
- Deliver 21,000 lbs per day and 105,000 lbs per 5‑day week.
- 10.5 tons of ice per day and 52.5 tons per week.

- Read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Maintain constant alertness and safe operating habits.
- Judge time and distance accurately.

- Concentrate on tasks requiring high cognitive function and sound judgment.

This position requires a ClassA CDL license, a clean driving record, and a professional driving conduct at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNo lead or supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three years of prior route delivery driver experience preferred.
- At least one year of experience driving a vehicle similar to the one to be assigned.
- Basic math skills and exceptional customer‑relations skills required.
- Drive in stressful environments.
- Unload, load, and rotate product in merchandisers.
- Lift up to 40 lbs throughout the day.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Responsible for property, funds, and information; must adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
