DOT Truck Driver - Class A

Hourly Rate: $26.49 per hour

Schedule: 4/10s (Four, 10‑hour work days)

The DOT Truck Driver operates Class A air‑braked equipped combination vehicles to and from retail and donation sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Salary: $25.75 per hour

• Drive diesel‑powered tractor with 27’ or 53’ trailer between distribution center, retail stores, and donation centers.
• Back up trailer to loading dock.
• Place stairs against the back of the trailer to load items into trailer.
• May place chains on tires in snowy weather.
• Handle no‑touch freight.
• Class B, transport compactors and dumpsters to landfill or transfer station.

Complete daily pre/post trip inspections and maintenance checks; ensure that all aspects of vehicle operation and material handling are done according to proper safety procedures. Responsible for vehicle’s equipment and for reporting repair needs.

Adhere to all Goodwill and FMCSA safety regulations; report all safety hazards, incidents, and accidents immediately.

Build and maintain good rapport and relationships with customers and clients.
