Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses.
We are looking for a hard‑working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Tacoma team.
Responsibilities- Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and complete driver's checklist in Fleetio.
- Load and unload equipment safely with the help of a second person and ensure equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
- Practice safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including the '4 second rule'), following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
- Recognize mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes or electrical systems and take action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; report maintenance needed and/or any damage to the Superintendent, Foreman or Shop Foreman.
- Ensure materials are loaded safely and efficiently (not overweight, no debris, etc.) and transport them to job sites and/or plants.
- Follow GPS and reach job sites and material sources in a timely manner.
- Spread and dump gravel efficiently; spot truck into paver and place material as directed.
- Perform non‑driving general labor duties as needed or directed.
- Provide material tickets to the Foreman daily so the Foreman can complete their work.
- Maintain a clean truck, including spraying down trailers when needed and practicing good housekeeping on all equipment.
- Ensure the truck is fueled each night.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and practice preventive safety measures; wear required PPE.
- Maintain and promote the company's philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.
- Must have a CDL Class
A. - Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
- Follow all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
- Ability to travel to various worksites.
- Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.

Salary: $32.00 - $38.25 per hour.
