Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated and qualified applicants for the position of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver). This role is responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Penske locations and customers. Primarily, the job involves moving box trucks up to 26' and, for CDL Class A holders, tractors and trailers. The candidate may also assist the service department in delivering parts and equipment.

This is a casual/on‑call part‑time truck driving job ideal for licensed CDL Class B or Class A drivers looking to earn supplemental income with a schedule of 0-25 hours per week based on business needs.

Wednesday – Friday, 2 pm – 10 pm OR Sunday – Tuesday, 7 am – 3 pm.

• Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving to Penske or customer locations.
• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order; report issues to the location manager.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Complete other projects and tasks assigned by the supervisor.

• 2 years of driving experience.
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor-vehicle record.
• Valid Class B CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work independently, provide customer service, organize tasks, and maintain a positive attitude.
• English language proficiency (required by federal law).
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Maintained driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT Physical, safety performance history, and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel, work the required schedule, and complete background investigation and drug screening.

• Regularly see and hear; must possess close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, sitting; use hands for touching, handling, and reaching.
• Lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.

$23.00 per hour.
