Position: Local Captains & Deckhands (Tacoma/Seattle)

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Local Deckhand based in Seattle, WA. The Deckhand is responsible for assisting with vessel operations, managing rigging tasks, and ensuring the safe operation of the vessel under the supervision of the crew leader or captain. Daily responsibilities include handling ropes, securing cargo, maintaining cleanliness and safety on the vessel, and ensuring timely communication with other crew members.

The Deckhand will also engage with customers as needed to provide excellent service during operations.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Vessel Operations and Rigging tasks, with a solid understanding of maritime equipment and procedures
  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to ensure effective interactions with customers and crew
  • Basic knowledge of Boat handling and operations
  • Ability to work in physical outdoor environments and perform manual tasks under varying weather conditions
  • Prior experience in maritime or towing operations is a plus
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in maritime settings
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with solid problem-solving abilities
  • Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
