Location: Tacoma, WA
Pay: $19 - $21/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Overtime: Mandatory at times
Transportation: Not bus accessible
Smart Talent is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to join a client located in Tacoma, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who takes ownership of their work area, leads by example, and holds their team accountable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a desire to grow within warehouse operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist warehouse staff with the movement of freight, materials, and inventory to and from storage areas, production zones, loading docks, and trailers.
- Coordinate daily work assignments based on work orders, manifests, and operational priorities.
- Ensure all shipping, receiving, and inventory records are completed accurately and on time.
- Act as a resource for warehouse staff by answering questions, resolving issues, and escalating concerns to management when appropriate.
- Promote and enforce all safety procedures, security protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain strong, positive working relationships with warehouse associates, dock staff, and leadership.
- Monitor productivity, workflow, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Maintain reliable, regular attendance and flexibility to support business needs, including mandatory overtime.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Prior warehouse or team lead experience required.
- Experience in a 3PL, warehousing, or transportation environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with strong follow-up and documentation skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter with strong accountability and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and web-based systems.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
