About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join my clients team. In this hands‑on role, you'll carry out diagnostics, service, and repair work on a range of agricultural and turf equipment, ensuring machines perform to the highest standards.
You'll be responsible for maintaining equipment both in the workshop and in the field, while providing excellent customer service and supporting our ongoing commitment to safety, quality, and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time (job cards, timesheets, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, vehicle, and working environment.
- Ensure a “right first time” approach to all repairs and servicing.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing Service Training and Certification programs to further technical knowledge.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and setups on new and used equipment.
- Comply with all manufacturer repair methods and customer care processes.
- Minimum 3 years' experience performing service repairs on agricultural, turf, or plant equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Competence in major unit overhauls, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulics.
- Capable of training and supporting apprentices or junior technicians.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and advise clients.
- Minimum NVQ Certification Level 2 (or equivalent agricultural or similar qualification).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends when required.
- Presentable, professional, and safety‑conscious at all times.
- Overtime rate: £20.25 - 22.50.
