Location: Tadley, Bramley, Burghfield (West Berkshire)
Salary: Starting from £27,000 per year (£13.66/hour) based on 38 hours per week

As a Waking Night Support Worker
, you’ll be responsible for safeguarding and supporting children overnight in one of our residential homes. You will ensure a safe, calm, and nurturing environment
, attend to children’s emotional and physical needs, and complete essential tasks to prepare the home for the following day.

This is a lone working role
, ideal for someone with maturity, resilience
, and the ability to work independently.

• Provide overnight supervision, care, and emotional support.
• Be alert to signs of distress or safeguarding concerns and report appropriately.
• Support personal care and hygiene routines where required.
• Keep accurate records and complete admin tasks during the shift.
• Clean and prepare the home for the following day.
• Communicate effectively with day staff and management handovers.
• Remain vigilant and responsive to any incidents or needs through the night.

• Experience working with children or vulnerable people is preferred.
• Confidence working independently through the night.
• Calm, reliable, and highly observant.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• A full UK driving licence is desirable (not essential due to staff transport).
