Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students. Teaching assignments may be temporary, part‑time and/or on‑call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25). We are seeking highly qualified Adjunct Instructors for inclusion in a pool for the Speech‑Language Pathology (AS Degree) Program for Fall 2026 semester and beyond.
Note:
This position is for in‑person and online courses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s in speech pathology, speech‑language pathology, speech‑language and hearing sciences, communicative disorders, communicative disorders and sciences, communication sciences and disorders or education with a concentration in speech pathology
- An Equivalency Determination may be submitted along with all application materials to be considered for this position if you do not meet the stated minimum qualifications. The Equivalency Determination document may be found on the Taft College website here:
Request for Equivalency. - Successful candidate must pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint background check and provide proof of freedom from Tuberculosis (TB) via a chest x‑ray or a TB skin test.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Possess an active California SLP license.
- Possess a National professional certification (CCC‑SLP) issued by ASHA.
$78.86‑$92.66 per hour.
