Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000+ annual bonus

Work Model: This position is based at an active mine site and requires daily onsite presence. Work conditions may include uneven terrain, climbing ladders, navigating steps, and exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, or mud.
Monday - Friday required.

Regular in-person attendance consistent with the Company's established work schedule is an essential function of this position to facilitate effective collaboration, communication, and business operations.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to site leaders and supports HR needs across teammate relations, talent, performance, engagement, compliance, and organizational change. The role focuses on building strong relationships, providing practical guidance, and helping the site achieve its people and business goals.

The Opportunity

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with site leaders to understand business objectives and develop supporting HR strategies
  • Provide guidance on teammate relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and lead recruiting efforts
  • Support goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and training needs
  • Help implement compensation, benefits, HR programs, systems, policies, and processes
  • Maintain knowledge of employment requirements and support regulatory compliance
  • Use HR data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Support teammate engagement, retention, organizational change, and communication
  • Maintain active visibility and support for teammates at the site
Success Measures
  • Site leaders receive timely, practical, and consistent HR guidance
  • Teammate relations matters are handled fairly and effectively
  • HR programs and processes are implemented successfully
  • Staffing, engagement, and development priorities are supported
  • People decisions are informed by accurate HR data and sound judgment
  • HR practices remain aligned with policies and applicable requirements
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Human Resources experience with a focus on business partnership
  • Experience supporting teammate relations, performance management, and workplace investigations
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with HRIS and other HR-related software applications
Preferred Experience
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing or site-based workforce
  • Experience using HR data and metrics to guide recommendations
