The Forklift Helper will assist in the loading and unloading of steel pipes and rods in the pipe yard located in Elk Hills. This is not a forklift operator position. The role involves helping to load and unload trailers, spotting and directing the forklift operators, and organizing, racking, and stacking rods and pipes in organized piles within the yard. General labor experience is preferred but not mandatory, and training will be provided to motivated candidates.

• Assist in loading and unloading steel pipes and rods.
• Spot and direct forklift operators.
• Organize, rack, and stack pipes and rods in the yard.
• Work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Be open to any shift and day of work.

• General labor or construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.

• Roustabout experience is similar and beneficial.
• Experience in oil fields or oil & gas industry is advantageous.

This position offers a chance to get a foot in the door with a company servicing a major oil lease. No experience is required, just the right attitude. There is an opportunity to increase pay from the starting rate and gain an industrial forklift certification.

The work environment is outdoors with exposure to hot summers and cold winters. The job involves lifting and stacking heavy steel pipes and rods, making it a physically demanding role. A brand new break room is available, with water and ice provided. Second shifts are only available: 2nd shift is from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taft, CA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
