This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of awarding student scholarships and operating the Contact Center.
MAJOR DUTIES- Collects and verifies scholarship applications for all tuition waivers and foundation scholarships; advertises and collects applications for specific foundation awards not included on the general scholarship application.
- Compiles and distributes lists of students to various committees for scholarship selection.
- Mails all tuition waiver award letters to selected students after determining eligibility.
- Enters all scholarship awards into BANNER system.
- Communicates with students and parents to answer scholarship questions.
- Determines National Guard member eligibility; reviews GPA and hours enrolled.
- Assists with maintaining the scholarship application database.
- Completes required reports.
- Awards Graduate Assistant Tuition Waivers.
- Awards Peace Officer Tuition Waivers.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of university tuition waiver and foundation scholarship requirements.
- Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in decision making and problem solving.
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
The Associate Director of Recruitment and Scholarships assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
GUIDELINESGuidelines include tuition waiver and scholarship requirements. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORKThe work consists of varied duties in the coordination of scholarship awards and Contact Center. The variety and volume of tasks contributes to the complexity of the position.
Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance.
- Annual salary $32,700.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
- Anticipated hire date: 08/17/2026.
