Job Summary:Seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer). In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures for a diverse patient population within the Cherokee Nation. You will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to providing state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging in a patient-centered, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE): Perform comprehensive 2D, M-mode, and Doppler (color, power, and spectral) ultrasound studies of the heart and surrounding structures.
- Complex Measurements: Accurately calculate ejection fraction, valve areas, and pressure gradients to assist cardiologists in diagnosing conditions like heart failure and valvular disease.
- Stress Echocardiography: Assist with pharmacological or exercise stress tests, capturing wall motion images under physiological stress.
- Procedural Assistance: Support Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) by managing equipment and ensuring high-fidelity imaging during the procedure.
- Patient Advocacy: Communicate the procedure clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the exam.
- Certification:
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) via ARDMS OR * RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) via CCI.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an acute care or high-volume clinical setting preferred.
- Education: Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited cardiac sonography program.
- Life Support: Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with advanced echo platforms (e.g., GE Vivid, Philips Epiq) and PACS reporting systems.
- Location: Tahlequah, OK 74464.
