RN PACU Contract June Start – Oklahoma – 1 hour from Tulsa

Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience (5+ years preferred)
Additional Notes:
Level 3 PACU RN coverage needed for contract assignment
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in PACU, monitoring vitals and recovery status.
- Assess patient condition post-anesthesia and recognize complications promptly.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
- Maintain readiness for emergencies with rapid response and resuscitation skills.
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe anesthesia recovery plans.
- Document patient recovery progress and update electronic health records accurately.
- Support a performance-driven environment by tracking recovery metrics and outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about recovery expectations and care plan.
- Demonstrate initiative for professional development and seek opportunities for skill advancement.
- Assist in preoperative planning as needed to optimize PACU workflow.
- Participate in shift handoffs ensuring seamless transitions of care.
- Support teamwork by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
- Current RN license with active Oklahoma or applicable state licensure.
- PACU nursing: minimum 3 years post-anesthesia recovery experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with rapid response skills.
- Proficient in vital signs monitoring and early complication recognition.
- Strong documentation in electronic health records and recovery metrics.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with clear KPIs.
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and surgical team.
- Team player willing to mentor junior staff and participate in workflow optimization.
- Willingness to contribute to preoperative planning and PACU workflow improvements.
- On-site availability for June start in Oklahoma within 1 hour of Tulsa.
