RN PACU Contract June Start – Oklahoma – 1 hour from Tulsa

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift

Pay Rate: $60/hour

Non-Billable

Hours:

Fee: 6.5%

Requirements:

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Minimum 3 years of PACU experience (5+ years preferred)

Additional Notes:

Level 3 PACU RN coverage needed for contract assignment

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in PACU, monitoring vitals and recovery status.
  • Assess patient condition post-anesthesia and recognize complications promptly.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain readiness for emergencies with rapid response and resuscitation skills.
  • Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe anesthesia recovery plans.
  • Document patient recovery progress and update electronic health records accurately.
  • Support a performance-driven environment by tracking recovery metrics and outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about recovery expectations and care plan.
  • Demonstrate initiative for professional development and seek opportunities for skill advancement.
  • Assist in preoperative planning as needed to optimize PACU workflow.
  • Participate in shift handoffs ensuring seamless transitions of care.
  • Support teamwork by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Current RN license with active Oklahoma or applicable state licensure.
  • PACU nursing: minimum 3 years post-anesthesia recovery experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with rapid response skills.
  • Proficient in vital signs monitoring and early complication recognition.
  • Strong documentation in electronic health records and recovery metrics.
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with clear KPIs.
  • Excellent communication with patients, families, and surgical team.
  • Team player willing to mentor junior staff and participate in workflow optimization.
  • Willingness to contribute to preoperative planning and PACU workflow improvements.
  • On-site availability for June start in Oklahoma within 1 hour of Tulsa.
