RN - Labor & Delivery

Tahlequah, OK

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide full-scope nursing care for laboring patients, including triage assessments and mother-baby couplet care
• Perform and validate initial newborn assessments as the baby nurse, ensuring all findings are within RN scope
• Manage Gynecology surgery patients as assigned within the unit
• Collaborate with LPN team members by directing and validating supported tasks such as EFM evaluations, patient positioning, and documentation assistance
• Float to Med/Surg unit as needed; if not comfortable taking a full patient assignment, assist with vitals, medication passing, and related support tasks
• Coordinate with the house supervisor for additional support and respond appropriately during emergency situations

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification or demonstrated competency
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Newborn Nursery, and/or Couplet Care

• Experience working in a small or rural OB unit with a varied patient census
• Comfort with cross-training to Med/Surg or general inpatient nursing environments
• Experience working alongside LPN team members and effectively delegating within scope

• Work within a close-knit, supportive OB unit that values teamwork and offers strong resources including house supervisor support
• Gain diverse clinical experience across Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Newborn Nursery, Couplet Care, and Gynecology surgery patients
