Description:
Acuity level of patients includes adults and pediatrics who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and/or diseases. The unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Automated medication dispensing system utilized is Pixys. Electronic Medical Record system used is Cerner. All RN/LPN staff must possess NIHSS certification. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be from AHA. Pediatric experience is mandatory. Masks must be worn at all times in the ICU. Scrub color for RNs is navy blue.
