* Job Summary:

** The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management services to patients in an outpatient behavioral health setting. Working collaboratively with therapists, case managers, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team, the Psychiatric APRN delivers evidence-based, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders across the lifespan.

* Primary Responsibilities:

**** Clinical Care
*** Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic interviews.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and clinical goals.
* Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
* Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
* Assess and monitor patients for risk factors including suicidality, homicidality, self-harm, and psychiatric crises.
* Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as clinically indicated.
* Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and recovery strategies.
* Coordinate referrals to higher levels of care or specialty services when appropriate.
** Care Coordination
*** Collaborate with licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, case managers, and primary care providers.
* Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
* Ensure continuity of care through effective communication with internal and external healthcare providers.
* Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
** Compliance and Quality
*** Adhere to all applicable federal, state, accreditation, and organizational standards.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
* Maintain current licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements
* Follow all policies and procedures set forth by Echota Behavioral Health.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

*** This position has no supervisory responsibilities.## Qualifications
*
* Education:

*** Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
** License/

Certifications:

*** Current, active licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Oklahoma in good standing.
* Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
* Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or must be able to become certified within 60 days of hire.

* Experience:

*** Two (2) or more years of experience providing psychiatric services in an outpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
* Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
* Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
* Experience treating children, adolescents, and/or adults.
* Experience working with patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred, not required.
* Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license and a clear background check.

* Physical Requirements:

*** Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* May require standing for extended periods, walking between exam rooms and work areas, lifting or moving supplies, and using standard medical and office equipment.
* The employee must follow all safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality requirements.
** Work Environment:
*** Office-based behavioral health clinic.
* Requires discretion, empathy, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
* Frequent interaction with clients, medical providers, and external partners.
** This position may have care of or contact with Indian children.
