Lead Cashier, Retail

The Lead Cashier guides the work of others, providing daily supervision to the cashier team while maintaining professional interfaces with customers, management, and co-workers. In addition to supervisory duties, this role requires hands-on involvement in daily store upkeep, floor maintenance, and stocking tasks.

* Services customers in a courteous and helpful manner.

* Performs daily supervision, leadership, and guidance of Cashiers.

* Stocks shelves, ensuring all retail shelves are completely filled.

* Cleans and maintains counter tops, fronts of counters, windows, doors, and tops of shelves.

* Sweeps all tile floors outside of doors and walkways, and removes all trash from the parking lot and stockroom.

* Mops all tile floors, cleans restrooms, restocks all paper products, and empties/replaces all trashcans.

* Performs other job-related duties as required

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Previous cash handling and customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to maintain a professional status and working relationship with customers, management, and co-workers.

* Must be comfortable working primarily in indoor climate conditions.
