Job Summary
Collaborate with the Assistant Chief Pilot and Chief Pilot of the flight department to provide safe, efficient, and timely air transportation for ONEOK employees, representatives, and their associates.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC) for all flights.
- Verify aircraft compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct preflight inspections and ensure that aircraft databases, weight & balance, fuel, and performance calculations are current.
- Prepare flight plans, evaluate weather conditions, and make informed decisions regarding flight execution, diversion, delay, or cancellation.
- Coordinate aircraft handling and fueling with Fixed Base Operators (FBOs).
- Ensure the aircraft is clean, equipped, and ready for safety and passenger comfort.
- Provide exemplary customer service to passengers and coordinate catering and ground transportation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Experience
- Minimum 4,000 flight hours, including 1,500 multi‑engine hours.
- Minimum 500 PIC hours in turbine‑powered aircraft.
- Current currency in instrument flight time and night landings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective communication with flight‑department personnel, company employees, and air traffic control.
Licenses & Certifications
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate required; CL30 type rating preferred.
- First‑class FAA medical certificate.
- Valid passport for travel to Canada.
Medium physical demands: may involve exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. The role requires moderate strength, balance, and manual dexterity, and involves exposure to vibration, loud noise, and variable weather conditions.
Work EnvironmentOperations take place in climate‑controlled and outdoor environments. Workers may encounter vibration, loud noise, heat or cold, and lighting variations. Standard duties include sitting, standing, walking, and handling equipment in both indoor and outdoor settings.
TravelTravel required; may include days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays.
