TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY – The Talladega Superspeedway is a 2.66‑mile track located between Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta, GA. Ushers are an important part of the visitor experience and are the first people guests see when entering the venue.
Responsibilities- Check area before gates open to ensure it is clean and in working order.
- Greet and welcome each guest and thank them upon leaving.
- Use knowledge of the stadium layout to direct guests to seating, restrooms, concessions, novelty shops, and other services.
- Act as an information specialist, answering guest questions about events promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Handle customer inquiries, including seating and ticket issues.
- Assist guests with locating seats.
- Enforce Speedway policies and procedures.
- Verify credentials to control access to restricted areas.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- Perform other duties assigned by Usher Team Leaders and TSS Management.
- Ability to review written and electronic materials (tickets) in both digital and physical formats.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to memorize the track layout to answer guest questions about seating, restrooms, concessions, novelty shops, and other services.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8‑12 hours).
- Ability to work outdoors in variable seasonal weather.
- Teamwork and ability to take direction.
- Must adhere to dress code and maintain a clean, presentable appearance at all times.
Usher team positions are seasonal and temporary, primarily for events in May and October with additional smaller events throughout the year. Shift length is 8‑12 hours, varying by event needs and conditions.
