Overview
Exciting Full-Time Physician Assistant opportunity in Talladega, AL with Main Street Family Care. We are growing and seeking a fast, fun, and friendly PA to join our team full time. You will provide patient-focused care in a high-volume urgent care environment, with services including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team while working in a fast-paced setting.
This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their career, including brand new graduates. After on-site HQ orientation and training, you will have shifts with existing providers in one of our clinics. Support includes a pediatric urgent care CE course and access to an NP on-call for clinical decision support, with ongoing training to help you grow in the role. Be the leader on your team in a clinic that supports you with treatment protocols and a capable medical assistant team. You will manage care within your scope of practice for patients of all ages, including babies, children, adults, and geriatrics.
We serve rural communities and operate 362 days a year to improve access to care. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement grants or student loan reimbursement grants funded by the state; we assist with the application process to take advantage of these programs.

Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory illnesses
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal)
- Suturing and splinting
- General orthopedic evaluations/management
- Review X-rays (over-read by Radiologist)
- General dermatology and general eye problems
- General EKG interpretations and emergency management
- General GYN care
- Treat patients of all ages, including children
- Occupational medicine and telemedicine
Main Street Clinic
Hours:
We are open extended hours, 7 days a week.
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Example:
- Week 1:
Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON) - Week 2:
Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF)
- Physician Assistant Board Certification required
- MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly)
- DOT certification or willingness to become DOT certified (we cover the cost)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
